When you buy a name (URL) (Domain Name) you are leasing it so to speak. Register name and you have the rights to that name for one year increments. The cost per year is very affordable.
You get with that name a big list of free services that a lot of Registery Services pretend cost extra.
You can park that name and redirect it for replacing an affiliate address. Or simply just send traffic to another web site using that name. Park it till you are ready to use it.
My past experience has been if you want a certain name and just check on the availability and don’t buy now, it may be gone tomorrow.
